Last Call: Harrison Rec Basketball Registration Ends Sunday!

The Harrison Recreation Department is once again offering its popular Boys & Girls (Co-Ed) Basketball Program, giving young athletes an exciting opportunity to learn skills, make friends, and compete locally this winter.

Registration officially opened on November 5, 2025, but families who haven’t yet signed up should act quickly — the deadline to register is this Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Parents and guardians can register online by visiting the Harrison Recreation Department’s portal at harrison.recdesk.com. The participation fee for the season is $25.00.

The program is open to children residents of Harrison and East Newark, NJ in grades three through eight and is organized into three age-appropriate leagues:

• Level 1 — 3rd and 4th Grade League
• Level 2 — 5th and 6th Grade League
• Level 3 — 7th and 8th Grade League

Games and practices focus on developing basketball fundamentals in a fun, instructional environment while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit.

For anyone needing additional information before or after registering, the Harrison Community / Recreation Center is available to assist. With the registration period closing soon, Harrison’s young athletes are encouraged to secure their spot on the court before time runs out.
