World War II Memorial at Harrison Veterans Plaza

The Harrison Veteran's Plaza contains monuments commemorating those who gave the Supreme Sacrifice during World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Korean War. It is a solemn place with significant monuments set in a space that honors those who fought to preserve our country's freedom. The Harrison American Legion and VFW post put it succinctly as follows, "Remember all fallen heroes. They are the reason that we are free."

Go to your calendar and put down the Memorial Day Tribute at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 so that you can take a walk over and simply watch members of the Harrison American Legion and Harrison VFW honor those who served. They will appreciate it greatly.

Take a look at our story entitled V-E Day: Harrison's World War II Monument Honors Supreme Sacrifice which is one of the monuments at the Harrison Veteran's Plaza.

Let the Veterans know how much you appreciate their sacrifices on behalf of the United States of America and the World by joining the discussion on our Discussion Board.
