TBT: Harrison Fest 2015 Opening Day Mass

Throwback  Thursday is upon us and this week's throwback is to the Harrison Fest 2015 Opening Day Mass at Holy Cross Church in Harrison NJ.  The Mass is designed to bring the community together in the center of the Town to bless the community. 

At the 2015 Harrison Fest mass, Monsignor Manuel A. Cruz came to the parish and joined clergy who were serving the community presently and who previously served and were retired.  Monsignor Cruz spoke beautifully about how long time Pastor of Holy Cross, Monsignor John Gilchrist assisted him as a young priest and that it was an honor to be with him at Holy Cross one of the churches Monsignor Gilchrist served for many years. 

The Mass was attended by elected officials, the Knights of Columbus Lodge 402 of Harrison, Harrison Fest Committee members including its President Anselmo Millan, the Harrison Fest 2015 Queens who represented 25 countries along with the United States of America, Harrison Fest Honorees including Family of the Year, Senior of the Year, Veteran of the Year, supporters of Harrison Fest and the public.
