Snow Emergency Parking Restrictions Announced for Harrison

Dec 26, 2025
Harrison Police Tow Away Zone

Due to a winter storm forecast for the area, the Harrison Police Department and the Department of Public Works are requesting the public’s cooperation during the declared snow emergency.

Effective Friday, December 26, 2025, beginning at 10:00 p.m. and continuing until further notice, NO PARKING will be permitted on the following roadways:

  • Harrison Avenue, from 2nd Street to Schuyler Avenue
  • Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard, from Bergen Street to Scott Mobus Place

These temporary parking restrictions are necessary to allow snowplows to operate efficiently and to ensure that streets remain accessible for emergency vehicles, pedestrians, and general traffic.

The Harrison Police Department will strictly enforce these restrictions. Any vehicle found in violation will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense, without exception. Residents are asked to wait until snow has been fully cleared from curb to curb before resuming on-street parking.

To assist residents during the snow emergency, free parking will be available for those with a valid resident parking permit at the Harrison Parking Garage, located at 890 South 3rd Street, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Residents with questions regarding parking or snow removal may contact the Department of Public Works at 973-268-2468 or continue to monitor updates at www.townofharrison.com.

Thank you for your cooperation as Harrison Department of Public Works crews work to keep Harrison safe and passable during the storm.
