Red Bulls v. Colorado Rapids Tues. August 2nd 2022 Game

The New York Red Bulls will play Colorado Rapids at the Red Bulls Arena, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

The Colorado Rapids are based in the Denver metropolitan area.  Since 2007, The Colorado Rapids have called  the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado their home stadium.   The Colorado Rapids was a founding member of the Major League Soccer league (MLS).  Being in Colorado, it is in the Western Conference of the MLS. They missed the really hot weather last week in New Jersey.  Tuesday’s weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 80s and by game time it should be in the 70’s making it ideal for a soccer match.

The Colorado Rapids was founded in 1995 by the Anschultz Corporation. The Colorado Rapids are now owned by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment which also owns the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Colorado Avalance of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Colorado Rapids won the MLS Cup in 2010 having lost their first MLS cup in 1997 to D.C. United  team. This should be a good match.  The Red Bulls are coming off of a friendly game with the Barcelona FC team which sold out all of the Red Bulls Arena’s 25,000 seats.  Although the Red Bulls team lost the game every player came away with the experience of playing a premier team in a jammed-packed stadium. The residents of Harrison are looking forward to when the Harrison Development Agency fulfills its promise to build a Route 280 Exchange off of Cape May Street, improved Jackson Street Bridge, provide Green Spaces, and restore the Manhattan Transfer Train station.  Check out our article Harrison Missing 4 of 5 Redevelopment Promises.
