Peruvian Parade 2022: El Senor De Los Milagros de Kearny

Jul 30, 2022

El Senor De Los Milagros de Kearny marched in the Peruvian Civic Association Peruvian Independence Day Parade in West Hudson.  The organization holds an annual procession from St. Cecilia’s Church on Kearny Avenue in Kearny and proceeds to St. Anthony’s Church in East Newark and then to the Holy Cross Church in Harrison.  Thirty-two men carry a large depiction of Christ’s crucifixion on a large platform on a 20-city block route within the three West Hudson towns.  It is quite a moving experience.  It takes a lot of coordination to travel the 20 city blocks.  As the procession moves through the streets of West Hudson, you can feel the presence of the Lord as women sing prayers.  The procession is held annually on the 1st Sunday in October. The next procession is on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 1 p.m. from St. Cecilia's Church on Kearny Avenue in Kearny.
