A morning drive turned chaotic in Harrison on Saturday, June 1, 2024, when a vehicle plowed into an unoccupied storefront following a two-car collision. The incident, which occurred at approximately 7:30 AM in the center of Town at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard, ended with one driver in the hospital and multiple summonses issued.

Authorities reported that the driver of the first vehicle was proceeding south on Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard with a green light when the second vehicle, coming from the east on Harrison Avenue, ran a red light and initiated the collision. The second vehicle veered to its left and off the road, ultimately crashing into the front of the Vape E-Cigarette Store located at 402 Harrison Avenue in Harrison NJ.

The Harrison Police Department was quick to respond to the scene. Officers confirmed that despite the dramatic nature of the crash, no pedestrians were involved, and no one inside the nearby businesses was injured as the store was closed and unoccupied at the time. This could have been much worse as the intersection is at the center of the Town in the busy Business District.
