On a sunny day in Harrison, New Jersey, the streets were filled with vibrant colors, lively music, and a community spirit that was simply infectious. The occasion? The 2023 Peruvian Day Parade, is a day of cultural celebration and community engagement that proudly marked Peru's Independence Day.

This annual event is organized by the Peruvian Civic Association of New Jersey, a non-profit institution founded in 2005. With the mission of promoting Peruvian culture through art, music, folk dances, and gastronomy, the association has become a key pillar of the Peruvian-American community in New Jersey. Their efforts go beyond just cultural promotion, with a focus on civic engagement and the well-being of their community.

The Peruvian Day Parade and Festival in West Hudson stand out as a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering community. This year's parade was no different, brimming with an array of beautiful floats that traversed the streets, each with its unique charm and story. North Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard echoed with traditional music and folk dances, creating a beautiful representation of Peru in the heart of New Jersey.
