Two Red Bulls Stadium Games This Weekend

Apr 15, 2022

The Red Bulls Stadium in Harrison is becoming the soccer venue of choice in the New York Metro Area.

This weekend there will be two games.  The first game will be the New York Red Bulls v. FC Dallas on Saturday, April 16, 2022, starting at 7 p.m. The second game will be the NJ/NY Gotham FC v. Washington Spirit game on Sunday, April 17, 2022, starting at 3 p.m.

The Harrison Police Department (HPD) issued bulletins on the games.

The Harrison Police Department anticipates a crowd, of approximately 20,000 fans, in attendance at the Saturday game and less of a crowd on Sunday's game. Residents are warned that there will be traffic delays before and after the games.

There will be parking restrictions and street closures to accommodate VIP Parking. Peter B. Higgins Blvd between Guyon Drive and Crucible Drive will be closed from 8 a.m. to approximately 11:30 p.m. No Parking signs will be posted in advance of the event on streets surrounding the Red Bulls Arena.

In addition, the following streets will be closed starting on Saturday at High Noon Time through approximately 11:30 p.m.  (1) Crucible Drive between South Fifth Street and Peter B. Higgins Blvd. and (2) Riverbend Drive between South Frank E. Rodgers Blvd and Peter B. Higgins Blvd.

The “Park-Mobile App” will deny any payment attempt for Parking at any Designated Park-Mobile Location on Saturday, Game Day.

Construction Personnel, Equipment, and Vehicles (including employees’ personal vehicles) must be removed from the streets surrounding Red Bull Arena.

Any Vehicles parked in Violation of No Parking Zones will be Ticketed & Town at the Vehicle Owner’s Expense.

On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the Red Bulls Stadium hosted the New York FC Soccer versus the Seattle Sounders for the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Semifinals Soccer Game.  The game started at 9 p.m. which is unusual for a Red Bull Stadium game.  The reason for the late start is that it was technically a Seattle home game and there is a four-hour difference between the Eastern Standard Time and the Pacific Standard Time Zone.
