RÜFÜS DU SOL 2 Day Concerts Sold Out Friday & Saturday 7/25 & 7/26/25
Jul 23, 2025
RÜFÜS DU SOL, the Grammy-winning electronic music trio from Australia, is set to headline a highly anticipated two-night concert series on Friday, July 25, 2025, and Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Harrison, New Jersey. The performances mark a major milestone in the band’s career and the venue’s evolution, as these will be the first concerts hosted at the stadium since it underwent a high-profile name change late last year.
Formed in Sydney in 2010, RÜFÜS DU SOL is composed of Tyrone Lindqvist (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jon George (keyboards), and James Hunt (drums, percussion). Together, they’ve carved out a distinct niche in the global electronic scene by fusing melodic house, ambient textures, and emotionally charged vocals with live instrumentation. Their atmospheric sound has earned them a devoted fan base and critical acclaim, including a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2022 for their track “Alive.”
Now in their 15th year together, the band continues to evolve, bringing immersive performances to major cities across the globe as part of their "Inhale/Exhale" world tour. The upcoming Harrison shows are no exception, with both nights expected to deliver a high-energy experience complete with visual spectacle and deep, rhythmic grooves.
The Friday night show is officially sold out, and only a handful of tickets remain for Saturday’s performance, which is expected to sell out in advance as well. In preparation for the concerts, the venue has been reconfigured for a special concert layout that allows for approximately 25,000 attendees per night.
With a sound that bridges the gap between the dance floor and the live stage, RÜFÜS DU SOL’s return to the New York metropolitan area is a rare opportunity for fans to witness the band in an expansive open-air setting. Their concerts are known for combining cutting-edge production with a transcendent sonic experience, and expectations are high for the two-night engagement in Harrison.
These performances are notable not only for their scale but also for their timing. They are the first concerts held at the venue since it was rebranded in December 2024, signaling a broader push to expand beyond sporting events and establish the site as a premier destination for live music. The Sports Illustrated Stadium has gone way past what was originally envisioned for the stadium when its original occupant, the MetroStars soccer team, built the stadium for its soccer games only. The Red Bull ownership continues to expand events at the stadium, which has an impact on the quality of life of residents. Sold-out soccer events and now concerts impact residents who must either stay put in their homes and apartments or wait their turn to get an escort to their homes because of the closure of South Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. to vehicular traffic.
As the lights dim and the first notes echo through the summer air, the performances will not only celebrate the continued rise of one of electronic music’s most exciting acts but also usher in a new era of entertainment for the stadium and the surrounding community. Some would prefer the concert not to take place as its impact on residents can be overwhelming.
