Remembering John Ogiela: Wake and Memorial Service Details Announced

The community of Harrison, New Jersey, is in mourning following the tragic loss of John Ogiela, who passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the age of 74. Mr. Ogiela was fatally struck in a collision between a vehicle while riding his bicycle at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and the Eastbound ramp to Route 280. The accident is currently under investigation, as previously reported in our article titled "Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Harrison NJ: Joint Investigation Underway."

Wake and Funeral Arrangements

The family of John Ogiela has released details about the wake and funeral arrangements to honor his memory. The wake will be held at Mulligan Funeral Home, located at 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029. Family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects on Monday, September 4, 2023, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

The funeral service will commence on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 9:15 a.m. from Mulligan Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be offered at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Harrison. Following the mass, Mr. Ogiela will be entombed at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.
