As the Major League Soccer (MLS) season springs into action, the New York Red Bulls are set to face Nashville SC in what promises to be a thrilling AWAY game opener. Scheduled for Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee, the match is a much-anticipated start to the Red Bulls' campaign, kicking off at 5 p.m. ET. Fans can catch all the action live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, available in both English and Spanish, and tune into New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com for English commentary.

This encounter marks the fifth overall meeting between the two sides, with the Red Bulls historically holding the upper hand in the series with a 2-0-2 record. The last clash between the teams was a nail-biter on the 2023 MLS Decision Day, where New York clinched a 1-0 victory in the final moments, thanks to a penalty kick from defender John Tolkin. This dramatic win extended the Red Bulls' postseason appearance streak to 14 consecutive seasons, the longest in MLS history.

The Red Bulls, gearing up for their 29th season opener. This year's opener against Nashville is not just about starting the season on the right foot but also about continuing their historic playoff streak and setting the tone for the rest of the season.

Home Opener

Post Sunday's match, the Red Bulls' road trip continues with a game against Houston Dynamo FC in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, with a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff. The team's home supporters will have to wait until Saturday, March 9, 2024, for the Red Bulls Arena Home Opener against FC Dallas at 7:30 p.m. ET in Harrison, NJ, to see their team in action on home soil.

Harrison Traffic Plan Status Quo

As excitement builds for the home opener, the Harrison Police Department is expected to issue a Traffic Bulletin to ensure a smooth experience for fans and residents alike. Last year, traffic restrictions during Red Bull Arena events, particularly the closure of South Frank E. Rodgers Blvd., sparked considerable concern among residents of the Harrison Redevelopment Zone. Despite these challenges, there's no indication of a change in Harrison’s Traffic Plan for the upcoming season. Mayor James Fife has acknowledged these concerns, promising a review and feedback, but ultimately there was no change to Harrison’s Traffic Plan for Red Bull Arena events.
