Harrison High Dazzles: Starmites Performance Mar. 21 to Mar.23 2024

This week, the talented students of Harrison High School are set to take audiences on an intergalactic journey with their production of "Starmites." The performances are scheduled from Thursday, March 21, 2024, through Saturday, March 23, 2024, each evening at 7:30 p.m. In a special twist, the Friday, March 22 show has been designated as Family Night, offering a unique "pay what you can" admission policy to ensure the entire family can enjoy this stellar performance together.

"Starmites," a musical adventure that originally shone on Broadway in 1989, weaves a compelling tale of fantasy and adventure, set against the backdrop of an intergalactic war between good and evil. The story follows Eleanor, a young comic book enthusiast, as she finds herself transported into the world of her favorite comic book series. In this universe, she becomes embroiled in an epic battle alongside the Starmites, a group of superheroines, against the evil Shak Graa and his minions. With its catchy tunes and heartfelt message about finding one's courage and identity, "Starmites" is a delightful treat for audiences of all ages.

Tickets for this captivating show are reasonably priced at $5 for students and $10 for adults, making it an accessible event for the community. Attendees are encouraged to purchase their tickets at the door of the Harrison High School, located at 401 Kingsland Avenue, Harrison, NJ.

The Harrison High School drama department has a history of producing high-quality performances, and "Starmites" promises to be no exception. Under the guidance of a dedicated faculty and a talented cast and crew, this production is sure to transport its audience to a world of imagination and wonder. Harrison High School’s drama department is part of the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn NJ Adopt A School outreach program.  Paper Mill Playhouse’s program has been very helpful in assisting the staff and students of Harrison High School in their drama program.
