Harrison Redevelopment Agency Meeting Date Is Hard to Pin Down

The Harrison Redevelopment Agency has not met this month yet despite having scheduled two regular meetings and two special meetings.  The Regular Meeting scheduled for August 8, 2022, was canceled. That meeting was replaced with a special meeting for August 15, 2022.  The Special meeting ended up being canceled. There was notice to the public that the first Regular meeting was canceled via the Town of Harrison website meeting calendar.  There was also notice that the Special meeting of August 15, 2022, was cancelled also via the Town’s website.

This past Monday, August 22, 2022, there was a Regular meeting of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency.  There was no indication that the meeting was canceled on the Town’s website.  There was no public statement that the 2^nd Regular Meeting of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency was canceled.  After it was brought to the attention of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency that there was no indication on the Town’s website that August 22, 2022, was canceled, the Town’s website was to indicate a cancellation the following day.

The story does not end there.  After the Town website was updated with the cancellation, another Special Meeting was scheduled for this upcoming Monday, August 29, 2022, at 1 p.m. via Zoom.  Let’s hope that the meeting goes forward and/or the Town website is updated to reflect its cancellation.  There is an indication that the meeting is going forward as the Agenda for the meeting was loaded on the Town website’s Agenda page.  The Agenda is available here.

We should note also that the Mayor & Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, 2022 has been cancelled.  A new date for the meeting has not been announced yet.
